Facebook Challenges LinkedIn with their Job Opening Features

In Tech

Companies have the capacity to post openings and pay to showcase job advertisements with a hefty amount of recognition

A move that could weight LinkedIn’s employing business

Facebook announced last Monday that the social network will be trying a component that would let page directors make work postings and get applications from potential hopefuls. Facebook had taken on a variety of techniques, stemming from last year’s mimic of “Profile Tags”, to which was also LinkedIn’s endorsement feature.

Numerous private companies often post about their employment opportunities on their page. The company will be running a test for page administrators to post certain job openings and receive applications from competitors.

Jobs’ tab applications can be embedded onto the Facebook pages of various developers like Work4, Workable and Jobscore

A new option has been added into the status update composer allows Facebook pages to share their job opening with relevant details such as job title, salary, and work hours. Hence, Facebook plans to use this feature to differentiate the job postings from other crowded content. Job postings will included an “Apply Now” addition that will initiate a very typical job application flow.

The submissions will be collected by the Page as a Facebook message. This feature is already an added advantage for the social network, as every Facebook profile is filled with extensive information and work history. Recruiters can finally post job openings with all these particulars to help reach out to Facebook users with the right passes.

LinkedIn makes a large portion of its income from employment seekers and selection representatives

They pay a monthly fee to post resumes and interface with people on what’s regularly known as the social network for business.

With Facebook’s employments highlights, companies could drive more activity to their Facebook pages while permitting them to pay the social network to land their job openings, for the eyes of the candidates.

In October, Facebook propelled Marketplace to permit individuals to purchase and offer things locally as the social networking system tries better approaches to keep its users locked in.
